Andreas CohenIn 1998, Andreas Cohen founded what is today COMTEG.COM. Andreas built his expertise in Online Media Measurement running the Audience Measurement Committee of FAST Europe and serving on the German Audit Bureau of Circulations, IVW, Organizational Committee. In 2005, he founded the I-COM (International Conference on Online Media Measurement ). See relatedblog. Working for Kraft Foods Europe, Andreas established his base in Marketing and Strategy Consulting from 1989-1993. In 1996, Mr. Cohen joined one of Germany's largest publishers, Burda Media, as Director Corporate Development of their New Media group. Here, he led the development of Germany's first adserver software and helped pioneer the Web as a new advertising medium. He holds an MBA from IMD in Lausanne, Switzerland and a BA from Babson College in Boston. More details on LinkedIn. Giampiero Di CarloGiampiero Di Carlo is a COMTEG Partner based in Italy. Giampiero comes to COMTEG with considerable experience and success in the Digital Media world. In 1995, he founded the web agency M&G Interactive and Rockol.com, today Italy’s leading music website rockol.it. Giampiero is also an author, releasing three books with Etas Libri: “Internet marketing” (1999-2000), “Il commercio elettronico (2000) and “La musica online” (2001). Giampiero also participated in the foundation of IAB Italy, working in its board of directors for three consecutive mandates. Giampiero also lectures at the Università Cattolica di Milano on “Comunicazione musicale per la discografia e i media”. He received a masters degree in Marketing at Bocconi University, Milan. Frederic GuilletFrederic Guillet is a COMTEG Partner based in Singapore. Frederic comes to COMTEG with considerable pioneer experience in the Online Media world. He has worked for some of the leading companies in the sector such as DoubleClick, Publishing Interface Pte Ltd, Mailprofiler AG and MTV Asia in France and Singapore. Frederic started his career in South-East Asia as business development manager for Publishing Interface Pte Ltd, a traditional A&P agency. In Paris, he joined Doubleclick Techsolutions as a Field Sales Manager in charge of promoting the DART adserver. Later, he gained CRM expertise as Business Unit Manager to launch DARTmail, the outbound email marketing platform in Europe. In 2004, Frederic founded Emailingdirect Pte Ltd, a consulting company that focuses on online advertising and email marketing. Clients appreciated his mix of business strategy and tech skills. Frederic holds a degree in Business Administration from ISC, Paris, France. Benjamin JoffeBenjamin Joffe is a COMTEG Partner based in Beijing. He comes to COMTEG with considerable experience in Digital Media and Asia. Benjamin has been based in China, Japan and South Korea for the past 7 years, specializing in Wireless and Internet services. Since 2005, he has been the CEO of the Asia-focused consulting company Plus Eight Star Ltd (+8*). Benjamin was part of the mobile media boom in Japan from 2000, the rise of community services in Korea in 2003 and the Chinese 'digital media 2.0' revolution. He also co-founded and organizes the monthly industry event, Mobile Monday Beijing, an information and networking forum on innovation in the Chinese mobile space. Bernard OchsBernard Ochs is a COMTEG Partner based in Paris, France. Bernard comes to COMTEG with considerable expertise in Online Media Measurement and M&A. In 1998, he founded NetValue, a company targeted at measuring Internet audience and user behaviour, along with Lennart Brag. He successfully led NetValue through 2 rounds of investment and an IPO on Euronext in early 2002. NetValue was eventually sold to Nielsen //Netratings in August 2002. A successful entrepreneur and business angel, after NetValue, Bernard joined Normart, a Paris M&A boutique, as a Partner. Bernard spent the first 12 years of his career in sales and marketing, executive positions at Analog Devices, Sun Microsystems and Netscape Communications, leaving as Director, managing European OEM business. Bernard Ochs holds a Master of Science in Electrical engineering from Institut National Polytechnique de Grenoble. Carlos PassolaCarlos is a COMTEG Partner based in Spain. Carlos has more than 15 years of international working experience in the areas of marketing, sales, business development, corporate finance and strategy within a range of industries including the Internet, Telecommunications, IT, Satellite TV and Consumer Goods. He has led the International Department of Wanadoo Spain (formerly eresMas) after a role as Marketing & Business Development Director. Carlos has also been consultant for Arthur D. Little in London working in projects in UK, France, Portugal, Italy and Spain. He is well versed with entrepreneurial ventures where he has been providing assistance in business definition, business plan development and securing financing. Carlos also has an MBA from Harvard Business School. Khaldoon TabazaKhaldoon Tabaza is a COMTEG Senior Partner based in the Middle East. Over the past 10 years of his career Khaldoon Tabaza founded, managed and directed a number of high-profile ventures in the communication and information technology sector in the Arab World. He serves as an advisor and board member to a number of regional investors and emerging growth companies across the Arab world. Khaldoon co-founded and served as the CEO of IDEAVELOPERS an EP 50 million Cairo-based venture capital firm focused on early stage and technology-driven ventures. Prior to venture capital management, he founded Arabia.com, the leading Internet portal in the Arab world and grew it from a two-employee start-up to a 100 employee company, with total audience exceeding 2 million unique visitors per month, and participated in the largest round of investment in an Arab world Internet company raising over US $25 million between 2000 and 2001 and creating a network of seasoned regional and international investors. Khaldoon also co-founded Arab Advisors, a research company in the fields of Middle Eastern IT and telecommunications and was actively involved in the company until June 2003 when he divested his equity. As the founder of Arabian Communication and Publishing ("ACP"), he launched the Arabic language version for BYTE magazine from McGraw-Hill in 1995 and later on the Arabic edition of Popular Science magazine, and served as Editor-In-Chief of both. As a speaker, Khaldoon presented in a number of international conferences, forums, and round tables including World Paper conferences in Boston and Dubai, the Industry Standard's Global Internet Summit in Barcelona, The Silicon Alley Reporter's International Network conference in New York, MIT's Alumni Club conference in Cairo, and Wharton business school conference in Dubai. Media appearances included international and regional titles and publications such as Wired Magazine, ZDNet, The Industry Standard, The Herald Tribune, CNBC, and The World Paper amongst many others. Khaldoon is a member of a number of regional and international societies and Institutes advisory boards and committees such as The World Times Information Imperative Faculty, the Media Channel, The Wireless Internet Institute, The Information Technology Associations of Jordan, and other institutes. Dan WunderlichDan Wunderlich is a COMTEG partner based in Germany. Dan is a finance specialist in M&A and Venture Capital. Formerly, Dan was a senior member of T-Online’s M&A Dept. and comes to M3 with a wealth of experience in this area. Transactions that he accompanied include acquisition of the Scout24 group, Zug (CH), from the BHS Beisheim Holding Schweiz AG, sale of 40% share of T-Motion plc, London, to T-Mobile, trade sale 100% of t-info GmbH, Munich, to DeTeMedien GmbH and restructuring and trade sale of auto. t-online GmbH to Motor Presse Stuttgart. Dan also has experience supporting a start-up as well as a being venture capitalist. At my media GmbH, he developed the business plan, negotiated with potential investors in the media sector and closed the equity investment. At LB Corporate Finance Holding GmbH, Dan performed ongoing investment assay and controlling for specialised funds of the private equity group of the Landesbank of Saxony and prepared investment proposals from the internet sector for approval by the investment committee and advisory board. |
